"Bloodstone Ring"
Date: 3/21/1986
Report Filed By: Patrol Sergeant Brian McLeary
Testing Performed By: Dr. Smith (deceased)
Subject: UA-006
Description:
UA-006 is a silver ring encrusted with 3 rubies on top in a line. The central ruby is approximately twice as large as the two surrounding rubies.
Effects:
First Subject:
Initial testing with a Class-D subject began with an inspection of the ring. At this stage, it was inert, and had no effect until worn. Once the subject was instructed to wear the ring, the subject began severely hemorrhaging and claiming to be in a severe amount of pain. Upon removal of the ring, it tore off the subject's finger as well, resulting in the termination of the subject via blood loss. The blood streamed directly into the rubies upon the ring, giving it a slight glow.
Second Subject:
A second Class-D subject was brought in and instructed to inspect the ring. The subject, upon contact, became extraordinarily aggressive, shouting at Dr. Smith and myself that he wanted nothing more than to "Tear our jaw from our skulls and bash the rest of our teeth out with it." Subject was instructed to wear the ring, and began severely hemorrhaging as well. Before we could give further instructions, the subject removed the ring out of panic, resulting in his termination via blood loss. Once again, the blood flowed into the ring, giving it a more intense glow. It was at this point it began exuding memetic hazardous traits. Upon returning the ring to a containment cube, it began putting whispers into my head, goading me to wear the ring as well.
Third Subject:
A third Class-D subject was brought in to examine the ring. The subject also reported hearing whispers to put the ring on. Against orders, the subject wore the ring, then panicked and tore the ring off once he began hemorrhaging. Subject was terminated via blood loss. The blood, once again, flowed into the rubies on the ring, giving it a very noticeable glow. No further testing progress was made.
Closer Inspection:
The ring was brought to the R-Wing lab by Dr. Smith, with myself and Officer Dart as escort. Dr. Smith attempted to put the ring under a microscope to further examine the rubies, when his body began moving to put the ring on subconsciously. Me and Officer Dart quickly moved to restrain the doctor and removed him from the room. It would appear this effect of UA-006 has a range of effect, as leaving the room resulted in the doctor regaining control of himself. At this moment, all further inspections were deemed too dangerous and the UA was returned to UA storage.
Discovery:
UA-006 is a "gift" received from UA-004. The ring had been brought into the facility by UA-004 during the first appearance.

Notes:
This ring seems to grow more powerful depending on how much blood it has consumed. Effects on the wearer are unknown at this moment due to every subject panicking and removing the ring once they started bleeding. With enough blood, the ring becomes memetic hazardous, but only in a limited range. Due to us receiving the ring in a dormant state, it is safe to assume starvation returns the ring to an inert state, though it is unknown how long that will take. Further testing is required, preferably in at least three days.
