Testing Log #17 - "SCP-1048 Maze"

Subject SCP/Object: SCP-1048

Explain the goal of testing: The goal of this test was to see how willing SCP-1048 was to accomplish it's goals and how much it is willing to go through to get what it needs. Along with the bonus of finding out, which kind of weapons it likes more so we can better prepare an action plan in case of a SCP-1048 breach.

Explain your hypothesis: Before I started working on the test I though that SCP-1048 would only use sharp weapons and that maybe it would give up after a little bit of running through the maze.

Summarize your process during testing: The first thing was to build the maze itself. I asked on radio if we had any engineers to build a big maze but we sadly did not so I built the maze with anything we had with things like chairs, a couple fridges, beds, and other things like that while security watched my amazing maze building skills. After the maze was finished I learned a few things immediately. First, I learned that my maze was really good at getting everyone's attention since almost all of security was playing around inside. Second, security is full of a bunch of weenies who kept making fun of my maze. After a while of being bullied by security we finally started the testing part of things. We grabbed a pencil, a knife, and a hammer and set them around the maze while a few other agents went to go get SCP-1048. Somehow SCP-1048 escaped but thankfully it was quickly put in a box. Once the bear was in the testing chamber it was let out to explore the maze while security watched. It did not take long for it to find the hammer and for it to begin using it to commit acts of violence against one of the medics. After some time, it found the pencil and eventually after that, the knife. Once it had the knife it threw it at another agent and I picked it up before it could do any more harm with it. The test was soon completed and SCP-1048 was returned to it's chamber with almost no issues.

Detail the Result and if your hypothesis was correct: We learned that SCP-1048 does not seen to care how much it has to do to get the things it needs. It also will use any weapon that is available but that it prefers weapons that are sharp. The sharper the weapon, the more likely SCP-1048 will use it for murder. My hypothesis was wrong.

List of all resulting casualties: Aside from someone being hit with a hammer and someone getting a knife thrown at them, no one was seriously hurt or murdered.
