Explain the goal of testing: A bunch of this period was spent attempting to get a viable mixture that worked the way I wanted it to and testing said mixture once I was satisfied with the results.
Explain your hypothesis: As different concentrations of the mixture had similar but very different effects I believed that there was a point at where the effects did what was needed while also removing negative effects.
Summarize your process during testing: I tested different concentrations of the Joy mixture many many many times and tested each concentration on a D-Class or two. I have lost count on how many different mixtures there were and how many D-Class were used for testing. D-Class were asked about their feelings and their current emotional state was noted before we moved on further. I would then cause harm to the D-Class in varying ways from small cuts or pricks with needles to even breaking a bone or two. Afterwards they were given that test's concentration of the Joy mixture. Results were very very very varied. Too much Joy caused heart failure, episodes of hysteria, the inability to feel pain even if they were previously in pain, and so many more. Too little joy and either nothing at all happened or the desired results were not met at all. After testing that test's concentration, the D-Class were given medical treatment if their injuries were not too severe or were terminated if they were could not be saved. There seemed to be no perfect middle ground no matter how many different concentrations were made. However each concentration that had desirable outcomes would be studied and compared with other outcomes. Though I was not able to have a perfect middle ground I believe I have found a concentration that did the most good! Today's test on March 3rd, 1986 was supposed to be the last. I rendered down the most desirable concentration into a powder and put that powder into pill capsules. From this point forwards I will be referring to these pills as Joy. One Cup of Joy from SCP-294 would result in five viable Joy with a tiny bit of fluid remaining that could not be made into a full pill dose. Security were gathered into the large testing chamber in R-Wing. Everyone was told to wear hazmat suits or gasmasks just incase. A D-Class was eventually brought and the presence of Security Chief Danger was requested to witness my greatness in action! Once the D-Class was in the chamber and security were present he was asked the same thing I asked every other D-Class. I asked about his day and how he was feeling. The D-Class made it very clear that he was very much so upset about a bunch of things and was angry that things were the way that they were. Eventually the D-Class was given some Joy. At first nothing seemed to be happening. Chief Danger proceeded to call my test a waste of his time. Despite his rude comments the test continued. Soon the D-Class' mood had changed completely! He was happy and no longer angry in the slightest! It was working! Chief Danger did not seem please with the results. The test continued. Eventually the D-Class started smiling. Everything was going perfectly. Though the D-Class soon mentioned feeling some pain that they did not really seem to care about too much and they even kept smiling because of it! The D-Class would giggle and smile away in complete bliss! Yet despite these results Danger continued to be rude! The test continued. The D-Class was released from their binding and was caused extreme stress. A member of SID would shoot near the D-Class who would remain completely unbothered by it! I even hit the D-Class several times with a crowbar to purposefully inflict pain yet nothing! They mentioned pain but still remained happy and unbothered by it! Though things would take a turn when the D-Class started hitting their head a against a wall. It did not make any sense. They were clearly happy but were hurting themselves. Chief Danger made many more rude comments about the test being torture and a waste of time. The test continued. I was certain that it was just because the medicine was wearing off and the D-Class wanted the pain from his injuries to stop as it had come back. I increased the dose though in my panic to put an end to Chief Danger's comments I forgot how much I had given the D-Class. The D-Class stopped being happy and once again returned to being angry about the whole situation at least until the Joy took affect. Once again they were completely blissful! Though they eventually seemed to start crying. I was most certain that the D-Class was just crying tears of joy as they just lied on the floor soon after and expressed their feelings of happiness. Though the Security Chief decided to use this as a time to insult me and make me look like a fool in front of everyone. Despite what I deemed to be a success the room was soon filled with laughter directed at me! The Security Chief pointed and laughed at me and the rest of security followed! I was called a failure and told all of my experiments were complete jokes! The barrage of insults just did not stop and I began to feel really really ashamed, but I think I know the truth now. It had to be an effect of the Joy! It could not be a coincidence! I happened to be completely unaffected, likely due to my exposure to Joy from working on it so often and for so long. The hysteria only got worse when a GRU-P Operative was detected. The Security Chief terminated my test and instead of returning the D-Class ordered the D-Class to be terminated! After the D-Class was terminated it likely was no coincidence that the hysteria seemed to stop. Security began searching the facility for any other GRU-P presence and testing was concluded.
Detail the Result and if your hypothesis was correct: I was wrong in thinking there was a perfect solution, but I did managed to get something that was viable and somewhat of a success. The Joy having an effect on Security was most definitely not something that I thought could happen but it does serve as valuable data! I fully intend to keep testing the Joy until it can reach a position in which Foundation personnel can use it to help resolve their emotional troubles.
