Tell us about yourself (150 words min.):
Hello, I'm Pretzel. I'm 18 years old, and currently working on finishing out high school. I've played on almost every SCP server since late Concordia, and I have found that SCP-RP, specifically Research RP, is something that I greatly enjoy. I have played/worked on various projects since I first got in the training room on Area-XYZ. Besides Garry's Mod (Which I have way too many hours in), I enjoy gardening, chess, swimming, and reading. I generally tend towards hobbies that don't require much effort, as I am a bit of a couch potato. My herb garden, which I'm currently starting for the spring, is something I take a lot of pride in. I have a lot of free time, as my schedule has been very relaxed recently. I am very excited to get to experience a new iteration of SCP Cold War, as I feel the first go-around has a very unceremonial and unfortunate end. I have had a lot of real life training in leadership, and I am very active in my community in various clubs/activities.
What could you do to help the community and/or the server?:
I am a very roleplay oriented person, so I would hope to nurture deeper roleplay in Research and Security alike. Currently, it feels as though there is not enough RP Mods to help the evergrowing amount of Researchers, and only through joining staff can I help do so. Obviously, I am more than willing to perform administrative duties, but I feel as though I can help the server more via moderation and having my voice heard on certain matters, more than I can as a normal player. For these reasons, I hope you will consider my staff application.
Do you have any administration experience from other servers?:
Nothing super notable, on SCPRP at least. Brief stints from years ago on Starwars and CWRP. I have, however, participated in many SCP servers, and understand the way staff works.
Were you staff on SCP: Cold War (2023)?:
No
Are you over the age of 15?:
Yes
Are you familiar with the MOTD?:
Yes
What would you do if you saw a lone Security or Researcher on the surface?:
Take them into a sit and ask what they are doing. If they are new, explain that they cannot do it and teleport them back into their spawn. If they are not or if they are a repeated offender, warn them.
Explain what you would do in the event of each SCP killing a player:
035:
There is no way for 035 to kill a person not through their swep, so, nothing.
049:
As long as they did the proper /me's, nothing.
106:
As long as they did not run/were following the femur breaker rules, nothing.
131:
Take administrative action (sit, warn) , if they somehow found a way to.
173:
Nothing.
294:
Nothing. If someone drinks a cup that kills them during a canon test/event, they would be PK'd, if the cup does not automatically PK them.
343:
Take administrative action. Sit/warn.
999:
Take administrative action. Sit/warn.
1036:
As long as they followed the possession rules and made the proper /me's for possession, I would not interfere if they killed someone indirectly. They cannot directly kill, though.
1048:
Nothing, as long as they followed their rules of aggression (alone, not against armed), used /me's to cut off the person's ears (if they were doing so), and had a tool to do it with.
1048-A:
Nothing, as long as 1048-A was protecting 1048
1370:
Nothing, as long as they were following /me's and not ignoring /me's to pick it up.
2006:
If he did not mean to kill and his form was one that would hurt, nothing, but if he was purposely attempting to kill people in a form that would not do so. sit/warn.
2292:
Administrative action, sit/warn, if he directly killed someone if not enraged or not via touch. If enraged or turning someone into a 2292-2 via touch, nothing.
2300:
If docile, sit/warn. If angry, and using a bad art piece to kill, nothing.
2337:
Nothing, as long as they were not using supercack without being attacked and were not spamming the cack button.
Explain how to use a /me and the roll system:
The /me and /it system is used to describe actions the person/anomaly you are playing as would do. Certain /me's and /it's are only to aid in visualizing the situation ,requiring no response from another party and no /roll. Some /me's, such as tackling, cuffing, and doing things which may be considered difficult, require a /roll to successfully complete. In situations where you are /me'ing against another party, you weigh both your /rolls, including your roll bonuses, to determine who wins. Another party cannot ignore /me's, and they must be reacted to as soon as you notice them happening.
Explain NLR:
NLR, or New Life Rule, is a system in which: most players must wait 3 minutes after dying to leave spawn and resume roleplay. It is also a system in which the player who died loses all memories since they spawned in last. This is generally used for non-canon interactions, such as breaches or non-canon raids, to ensure that a person cannot immediately leave spawn and go directly to whatever/whoever kill them.
Explain RDM:
RDM, or random death match, is randomly attacking another person. Attacking another person must have a roleplay reason behind it. Some valid reasons are as follows:
A guard sees a D-Class outside of D-Block with a gun
A guard sees a SCP-049-2 in a hallway
Some invalid reasons are as follows:
Two Special Agents decide they want to fight in spawn
Two Researchers decide to kill an Agent they deem to be stupid.
Explain Metagame:
Metagaming is using out-of-character information to your advantage in a roleplay situation. This includes using /ooc chat information, information from a discord voicechat, information from private messages, or any information not gained through a medium your character would know.
Do you have a microphone?:
Yes
Are you aware the training/interview time is 7:30 P.M. (EST):

If so, will you be able to make it? (If no, your application will be postponed.):
Almost every day, yes.
Are you interested in potentially becoming SCP: War on Terror staff?:
Sure
If you are denied the wait period is two weeks.
If your interview application is accepted, you will need to get on Discord to be interviewed. This will take place at around 7:30 PM EST.
