# 9rcPUXx2Pg6Gxh5kWhen did you join SCP: Cold War?: I joined the new Cold War immediately when it opened a few months back under SSN's rule. I have been here and active on the server since. I originally joined Concordia in 2019 and have been here on and off ever since.
Discord Name: Kenneth Slick
Steam Name: Kenneth Slick
Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:79707346
Highest In-Game Rank: Gensec Support Unit (I have been Marshal and LT in Parralax before)
When do you usually get on? (EST): 6-10 pm EST since the previous run of Cold War and now.
Did a staff member recommend for you to apply? (If yes, who?): Avoara.
Tell us about yourself (150 words min.): Hello, I am currently a college student who is studying biology and chemistry with plans on attempting to apply for medical school. I love medical things, both IRL and in-game, having just earned my EMT certification in real life. I personally find everything about the human body extremely fascinating, both how it can succeed at many things, and fail at things that seem so very simple. I am an extremely active person who enjoys meeting new people and being around friends, you will probably also find me being extremely talkative as a result. Movingon, I am very passionate about the community of SCP RP, having been in Concordia / Parallax / Cold War for the last 5~6 years, coming in and out, going up and down the rank systems. I was CI Major for Explosive Spec, Infil Major, and Heavy Major throughout time, as well as Marshal and Medical Lieutenant during others. I have one dog that I spend my day with, admittedly, his name is Slick, it's where I got my name for a lot of things, and I grew up with him, making my gaming stuff around his because I cared about him so much. Going on, I love to work out in my free time, being involved in a lot of physical activities. My personal favorite is weight lifting. I prefer leg days the most to any other, but I do run a lot as well. I am currently really trying to read a lot more, mostly because college expects me to, but I really just love listening to audiobooks or music instead.
What could you do to help the community and/or the server?: Both Leadership and knowledge. I would hate to have to admit how many hours I have in this game and other communities like it. I have almost dedicated some of my life entirely to this game and some communities within it, going up in rank in many of them. I have shown determination throughout many of the communities that I become staff in, learning the difficulties of XYZ's code as well as how to work with others that you do not necessarily see eye to eye with. Nevertheless, I always plan on sticking through thick and thin to help the community and its players especially. Hitting especially on leadership, as well as developing a fairly good social compass, I believe myself to be extremely good at de-escalating issues, as well as dealing with difficult individuals and behaviors. Finally, I plan on helping the community and server by working to listen to the player base, pass information up the ranks, as well as work to take the massive load of problems and situations off of Avoara's back so she can worry about leading more than dealing with menial work.
Do you have any administration experience from other servers?: It was a little bit ago, but under Galaxy's community, I was their head admin, having gotten EXTENSIVE expereince building worlds in the XYZ system, so I have a lot of knowledge about the ulx menu, xyz menu, how to edit containers, characters, spawn things in, the list goes on. In addition, I have been staff on a couple of other large communities, so being a person that others can reach out to for help or be a beacon for others to reach out for help.
Were you staff on SCP: Cold War (2023)?: Sadly I was not.
Are you over the age of 15?: Yes, I am mature.
Are you familiar with the MOTD?: Extremely
What would you do if you saw a lone Security or Researcher on the surface?: This can severely change depending on the Roleplay going on. Security is allowed to go on surface from higher up permissions (usually level 3+), and a researcher can attend if there is an RP reason for them to do so, like researching some UA on surface. However, in this case, a lone security or researcher, would be unreasonable unless they were separated from their squad or the rest died for some reason, either of those are still RP though. The only reason I would intervene is because the members were on surface during a low population time, minging, or unsure of what exactly they should be doing.
Explain what you would do in the event of each SCP killing a player:
035: Upon getting a successful lure or being placed on someone face by force, and getting a successful possession role, it is normal for 035 to host someone and inturn, kill them. Following this, 035 is allowed to freely kill anyone and team with 049.
049: 049 is allowed to freely kill any player given that they have the “pestilence”. A note however is that 049 MUST abide by FearRP, so he cannot do anything extremely when under the threat of 2 or more guns. 049 should be maintaining a certain level of friendliness toward non-infected persons. Therefore, only intervene with 049 killing someone if they are a doctor or not-infected. 049 IS ALLOWED to kill in self-defense however.
106: If 106 breaches containment legitimately, 106 can freely pocket anyone that he comes across, so I would not intervene in any way for 106 killing someone. If being lured by a femur breaker, 106 can kill people in his way.
131: Has no way to kill players, so I would investigate how 131 managed to kill someone and potentially punish if they found a way to break the game.
173: 173 may kill anyone WITH A NECK, so SCP’s and humans. I would only intervene if 173 breached containment in an illegitimate way.
294: This is not a player, so there are no interventions necessarily unless it was breached by a minge or someone got a cup that they have no IC knowledge of.
343: 343 is supposed to be a benevolent player and cannot do harm to anyone. I would take to a sit and warn / punish if 343 harms anyone.
999: 999 has no way of killing anyone, so I would only intervene if 999 found a glitch in the game.
1036: 1036 has multiple personalities. I would allow -5 to kill anyone freely, but the other 3 must have valid RP reasons to kill and should not be killing for no reason. As a result, I would only punish / intervene if one of the other 3 kill for no reason.
1048: 1048 is only allowed to take someone's ears when they are alone. As a result, I would only punish / intervene if 1048 is attacking / killing players that are in packs and not solo.
1048-A: 1048-A is allowed to scream and in-turn, kill players when it is threatened, either by being pointed at with a weapon, or around 2 or more players. These deaths I would NOT intervene on, I would only intervene if 1048-A screams when alone with one person.
1370: 1370 can technically kill any sentient creature it comes across, so I would not intervene. Only intervene if it does something against the rules to kill players, like use 294, which it cannot do.
2006: 2006 can technically only harm people if it takes a scary form that is able to do so, BUT it should not be trying to kill anyone, so I would investigate any situations where 2006 actually does kill anyone, as it should not be trying to do so. Intervene if it becomes apparent that they are doing it on purpose.
2292: 2292 is allowed to freely attack any human when it is enraged, and kill the person that mini-enraged it. When 2292 is enraged, it should kill any person that it comes across for 5 minutes. If 2292 is mini-enraged, it will only kill the person that mini-enraged it. I would intervene if 2292 kills outside of these enragements.
2300: 2300 cannot kill anyone directly, but if it is given a reason to, can make harmful artwork that causes harm to any person. I would intervene if 2300 makes an artwork that harms people and it does not have an RP reason to do so.
2337: 2337’s cacks do cause damage, but that is intended, so long as 2337 breaches containment legitimately or someone just forgot to put on earmuffs around them. I would not intervene unless 2337 breached illegitimately.
Explain how to use a /me and the roll system: A /me is a way for us to do actions in a roleplay sense that the game itself does not allow for. For example, we do not have a tackle system in game, but I can use /me’s to make this happen in the game against players. I have used this a lot since the start of the server as we clear up Gru-p base for example, welding doors shut and moving stuff around with /me’s. The /roll on the other hand, allows for a sense of chance to happen to certain things. If I were to tackle someone, there is a chance the other player fights back, and whos to say would win? Well thats the reason for the roll system. Every player and SCP usually has a roll bonus depending on what they are good at, so these can increase (or decrease) someone's rolls to give them a higher or lower chance at winning in certain engagements. A good example of this is that Provost MP’s usually have a much higher roll bonus against other humans, but a lower roll bonus against SCP’s, while SID/security now are the opposite, getting a higher roll bonus against SCP’s usually.
Explain NLR: New life rule is a rule that determines the knowledge that you retain when you die. Every time we die, we are essentially coming back as a new person, losing all the information that we had before we had died. We still retain cannon information like things from logs or reports in days before, but if we were dealing with a breach, we would no longer remember what SCP’s were breached or where they were.
Explain RDM: Random death match is when a player kills another player for no RP reason. This is not allowed in the RP community and things must have reasons for them during up time and roleplay time on the server.
Explain Metagame: Metagaming is when a person uses information in RP when they have not attained them from RP methods. For example, if I saw a screenshot of the Gru-P having stole 427, I would not be allowed to do anything until I get information in RP, like seeing that 427 is missing, or even finding out who has it.
Do you have a microphone?: Yes
Are you aware the training/interview time is 7:30 P.M. (EST): I am extremely flexible and can make myself available in the afternoon and evening, so yes.
If so, will you be able to make it? (If no, your application will be postponed.): Yes.
Are you interested in potentially becoming SCP: War on Terror staff?: Im here for the long ride, I have been in the Concordia, Parralax, and now Cold War community for a long 5 years, always being around and loving the game, so yes, for any community or game style we stay or become.
If you are denied the wait period is two weeks.
If your interview application is accepted, you will need to get on Discord to be interviewed. This will take place at around 7:30 PM EST.
