When did you join SCP: Cold War?: I joined sometime earlier once it was announced, I've been in the discord forever though April 10, 2023

Discord Name: Jasonman

Steam Name: Jasonman

Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:94097942

Highest In-Game Rank: Current: Researcher, Previous: Head Researcher

When do you usually get on? (EST): 6-7pm EST

Did a staff member recommend for you to apply? (If yes, who?): No

Tell us about yourself (150 words min.): Hello, I'm Jasonman, I'm from the US, in the Midwest region and yes all the stereotypes are very true lol, I never realized saying ope lemme scoot right past ya real quick was a very Midwest thing to say but here we are now lol. I'm just a guy who really enjoys SCP RP, I have been around since the old Concordia days and that's where I learned to love SCP and all about it's lore, I am almost always a Researcher Main because I love the mystery behind it, and discovering new things.

I have played on pretty much every XYZ coded SCP RP server, Concordia, Parallax, Cold War, and now Cold War again, I always went to be a researcher simply because I just enjoy the things they do, I am now branching out and am attempting to become Area Director to try and see what I can do to improve RP, I also intend on trying to do RP first type deal instead of what would be "meta" options, I enjoy making a story and having people go through it.

I am currently a full-time student going in an IST degree (Information Science Technology) and I should graduate around 2027, I am just very excited for a revival of an SCPRP server that utilizes XYZ code and that also has certain specifics that I enjoy when it comes to RP, but overall am excited to see this server grow and that's why I wanted to pitch my hat in to help the server out in whatever way I could.

What could you do to help the community and/or the server?: I believe I could bring about a larger admin presence just for general things, but I primarily would want to be on the RP-MOD side of things, I believe I would have what it takes to properly give out Canon rp situations to players who are researching or doing things similar, I have been an event staff on DayZ servers, and Admin on a couple Garry's Mod servers and I believe I am able to make events and moderate pretty well in terms of serving the community.

Do you have any administration experience from other servers?: DayZ Stalker RP (Admin & GM), Mod on a few DarkRP servers, and other than that not really, but I handled tickets, whitelists, bans, etc and I am familiar with the tools most servers use.

Were you staff on SCP: Cold War (2023)?: No.

Are you over the age of 15?: Yes, I am 18 turning 19

Are you familiar with the MOTD?: Yes

What would you do if you saw a lone Security or Researcher on the surface?: Depending on the player pop I would do a couple of things, if It was low pop and the player was just exploring I'd probably chat them up and see what they are up to, as long as they aren't actively trying to find "canon" items or story information I would allow them to just do as they pleased, maybe even "escort" them as a security agent.
If it were higher pop hours, I would PM the player to ask them if they were doing anything in particular if not, I would try to keep it in-character and radio for them to report to the facility for cleaning or a checkup, something that sounds convincing to keep it in character and allow the player to return on their own, now if they were to ignore the request I would politely PM them to return to the facility so that they aren't missing out on any sort of events or breaches inside.

Explain what you would do in the event of each SCP killing a player:

035: As long as SCP-035 has a host gained through legitimate means (winning the auto-roll with an "unwilling" participant)((someone who isn't purposely hosting themselves)) they are allowed to kill a player as they see fit. Now if they had a player intentionally host themselves to cause chaos I would void the situation unless there were other aspects at play.

049: As long as SCP-049 has a player they see with the pestilence they are allowed to cure them (kill them using their touch), and they can defend themselves too, now if SCP-049 started killing everyone for no reason then I would stop the situation.

106: Unless SCP-106 is being femur breaker'd and no one is in their way then they are allowed to kill as they please, if they ignored the femur breaker and started killing then I would stop the situation. The same would happen if SCP-106 had more than 3 people in their pocket dimension at a time.

131: Would honestly be surprised if they managed to kill someone, but I would stop them if they did.

173: Unless SCP-173 was failRP released from the CC then they can kill as they please using the SWEP. Otherwise I would stop them.

294: If someone made a metagame cup to kill a bunch of people that would obviously be voided, SCP-294 is not playable otherwise and cannot kill, depending on the cup that was dispensed there may be a reason to PK a character if needed.

343: I would stop the 343 player and inform them they are not allowed to kill anyone or incite violence.

999: Like 131, would be surprised, but I would stop them from killing people.

1036: Depending on the personality of the SCP-1036 I believe that they would be allowed to kill if it were apart of their ideals, if it was RDM or intentionally trying to cause harm to RP then I would stop them.

1048: SCP-1048 could only attack players who are alone and if they have sharp object, if they were attacking groups and didn't have a weapon to collect ears, then I would stop them

1048-A: Has special ways to attack players when they feel threatened, if they were doing the screams when they weren't threatened just to kill players then I would stop them

1370: If 1370 killed a player without using /mes then I would stop them, otherwise they are technically DeathTron9000 and will attempt to kill anything sapient.

2006: If their form allows them to kill a player they may however they should avoid killing if possible, otherwise if they went out of their way to kill I would stop them.

2292: 2292 can kill players while they are enraged or if they are insulted or if they are defending themselves, otherwise if 2292 was killing players outside of the enraged timer I would stop them

2300: 2300 can kill people using their artwork if they were enraged (which has a set guideline on what causes them to be angry) if they are making hostile and threatening artwork whenever they aren't enraged then I would stop them from doing such things.

2337: I do not know how 2337 would kill people, but if they were spamming the Super Cack then I would stop them, if they were to kill someone then I would also stop them from doing such things.

Explain how to use a /me and the roll system: A /me is a way for you to express your actions your character is doing in a in-character way, this is the primary way of how players interact with their environment and how they respond to actions happening to them. This means if a character is wishing to preform an action in RP either opposing someone or passively doing an action they would utilize a /me.
an Example: SCP-2300 may only communicate in writing or nodding, that cannot happen unless they utilize a /me, so they would do as such: SCP-2300-6: /me Would nod in agreeance to the Security officer; This would be how SCP-2300 would be able to "communicate" to other personnel utilizing a /me.

Now the roll system is a system of chance that determines successes and failures of a /me action, depending on passive or combative rolls there are differences in how rolling works. Whenever you are doing a combative /me, you must /roll and have a higher number than the opposing party in order to get the "victory";
Example: Security A: /me cuffs the d-class placing his hands behind his back; /roll Security A (72), D-Class: /me pushes the guard away trying to escape; /roll (12) In this situation the D-Class would have lost the roll and would have to cooperate with the wishes of the Security Officer.

In passive /me situations sometimes there is a certain amount you have to roll in order to determine a success, this usually is a number 50+, however it varies depending on what they player is trying to do, but essentially it works like a percentage, 1 being a critical failure, and 100 being a critical success, anything in between is up to judgement by those conducting the RP, the harder the task, the higher number of a roll is required to pass the task.

Explain NLR: NLR is new life rule, essentially it is the part where players forget the events leading up to their deaths and any information gathered prior, the NLR on this server is 3 minutes long meaning you cannot return to your place of death for 3 minutes and you forget how you died and anyone involved in your death.

Explain RDM: RDM is random deathmatch, its whenever a player kills another player intentionally for no reason and is breaking the rules, example would be A guard walking up to a d-class in d-block and just gunning them down for no reason.

Explain Metagame: Metagaming is the usage of OOC knowledge or OOC methods to gain an in-character advantage over someone else or something in general, an example would be an Escaping D-Class utilizing SCP-914 to upgrade all of their equipment before they escape, this would be metagame because the D-Class wouldn't have the knowledge to understand 914.
