// Example Incident Report #006 "Beauty and the Beast"

Tips for writing:

  • Don't just use a list, try and tell a summary

  • Try and avoid using first person pronouns if you can, unless you are directly involved in an action

  • Creative and interesting writing makes it more readable, making it seem like a story can be involving

  • Unimportant events are not needed, if somebody had to step out to use the bathroom we don't need to know

  • Try and split into different sections if warranted, so that it isn't just one big paragraph

  • Conclusions should be based on retrospective thoughts, the effects of the incident and improvements to be made in the future

  • If you want to get creative and use your imagination a bit that's fine, but don't alter important events

  • Don't say this happened so this and that and... lead into different events naturally using a past perspective as it makes a interpretation more valuable
