Rank of Author: Medical Director
Date of Incident: 03/16/1985
Personnel Involved: Several members of the security department.
Summary of Incident:
The Director called for security personnel to move to the surface, and once the agents arrived, they were tasked to retrieve a vehicle lost in the lake. Security armed up with additional weaponry from the Provost Armory. Security set out in a recovery vehicle, with some security following behind. Upon arrival, security took up defensive positions while two broke off to secure the tow ropes to the vehicle. The ropes snapped due to the tension, and required further time for more ropes to be attached. During this time, a Gru-P gunship began flying over and shooting at security personnel, eventually, security destroyed the gunship. However, a Gru-P APC arrived on scene, and destroyed both the recovery vehicle, and the recovered vehicle, however, the Gru-P APC was destroyed. Upon their return, the security were harassed by a tank, and Gru-P snipers. Eventually, the tank and snipers fled. Several security members were injured, however, none were killed in the attack.
This is concerning, as the Gru-P threat was believed to be nearly eliminated, however, they have shown that they still pose a severe risk to Foundation operations in the area.
