Subject: Personal perspective on surface incident, 3/1/1985
Hey Chief, I remembered you wanted me to email you about the events that occurred today, so I'll be listing what happened as much as I can recall.
Security was called to the surface after reports of "electricity field anomalies" outside. We all went to the surface, and after finding some patches of pure electricity outside the castle gates, somebody grabbed fire suits and put them on. You ,the Chief, ordered everyone but a few select people to stay at the facility, those being Myself, the Director, a Class-D that the Director oddly favored..., and Agent Hearth. Agent Miller later showed up and stayed with us.
After a bit of time sitting around at a campfire, we flew over to the lake via helicopter, and I believe we delivered some supplies. We later flew over again and recovered two agents, Hernandez and Cuba, while they were unconscious. Both recovered fine in the Entrance Zone in a makeshift medbay. Soon after, the Class-D disappeared to my knowledge, but I'm sure you know what happened there.
While awakening, a Code Orange was called on our radios, with multiple security, including you, retreating inside as we reached the gate while saying you were being followed. Soon after, combat ensued, which I won't go into specific detail other than a few molotovs were thrown at us, but you, I, and I believe Hernandez finished them off at the LCZ checkpoint after flanking from EZ.
The 2 bodies were recovered, and found to be Russians after being observed in LCZ medbay. I believe 2 Russian keycards, a few firearms, and something else was recovered. The radios were destroyed during the shootout, by the many bullets flying everywhere. I heard over radio that the bodies detonated. Frankly, I'm concerned and confused about what this means going forward, but I think we'll find out sooner or later.
