When did you join SCP: Cold War?: I joined Cold War when it had first started. The one before this one specifically, but I have been in the community since all the way back in Concordia.

Discord Name: Avoara

Steam Name: Avoara

Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:626843653

Highest In-Game Rank: In Concordia my highest rank was a CI Medical Major, then in Paralax I became a Colonel in the CI, then in Cold War before it went down the first time I was a Medical Supervisor.

When do you usually get on? (EST): I get on every day around 18:00 EST or 15:00 PST. Sometimes a little bit later if I have things to do that day.

Did a staff member recommend for you to apply? (If yes, who?): Not this time, but in the past yes.

Tell us about yourself (150 words min.): My name is Avoara. I have been around in the community since when Concordia Gaming was around. I mostly played CI with my friends that were in it like Lot, Blueberry, McGriffin, Opal, and a bunch of others. Then when Concordia vanished I stayed around for Paralax when it came out and also played CI. When Paralax eventually ended and Cold War came around I stood with the Foundation. All throughout it though, I stayed in the medical branch of everything because I have the aim of a wall-nut but I can type really really fast so I felt useful healing the people that were actually useful. Playing music is one of my most favorite of things to do. I can play the piano, violin, harp, flute, guitar, and most recently the ukulele. I also like drawing things. Before Cold War was turned off the first time I use to draw pictures for my Medical Supervisor's character profile. I think only one of them turned out decent and it is the one I have for my profile picture. The other ones I had rushed because I drew them for SCP interactions or events that had happened. I have a cat and his name is DOOMFANGER I have had him since he was a kitten. He is an old man now but he still acts like a kitten. Recently I got a couple of bunnies, their names are Sunflower and Wildflower, I used to have another one named Moonflower before those two but she sadly had to go to heaven. Sunflower is very shy and will run away from anyone who isn't me but she enjoys being picked up and likes bananas. Wildflower is an escape artist who constantly somehow manages to get out of his enclosure. He is very friendly to everyone and likes being picked up as well, but he needs to be watched constantly when he is not in the enclosure because he will run straight to any wires in sight and eat them. I also have two guinea pigs and their names are Crepe and Truffles. Truffles is fat and screams when he wants to be fed. Crepe is tiny but he has a really neat hairstyle. Both of them are shy. I also have a dog, his name is Duck. I do not know what kind of dog he is but he looks kind of like a german shepherd. He likes cheese. Other than those things I do not think there are many things else about me that are interesting.

What could you do to help the community and/or the server?: I do not have much experience when it comes to things like being an RP Mod or making events but I would love to help in any way I could. Whether it is helping staff with their projects and the stories they would like to tell or helping new players with learning the server or helping with their quizzes or even how to use specific SCPs. No matter what it would be I am more than happy to help anyone with anything I can. I am more than happy to learn new things and if I do get the experience to do things like RP Modding I would always be available for tests, SCP Interactions, or all sorts of things like that just so that people have lots of fun and interesting things to do. The more people that are able to do the things they want when they would like to the better, and the more likely new people will come and want to stay. Even without being staff I am more than happy to help welcome new players. When Cold War started the first time I would always do my best to greet new players and make sure they had something to do that was not just standing around. I always made sure to buy new players and anyone who didn't have it Diamond VIP when it was available just so everyone had more options to play than just a couple of SCPs and Security. My only regret was never getting a screenshot where everyone in the server showed the Diamond VIP. There was always like one or three people that had Builder VIP but did not want me to buy them Diamond.

Do you have any administration experience from other servers?: No, but I am more than happy to learn and help in any way I can.

Were you staff on SCP: Cold War (2023)?: No, but I did apply for it. Cold War had ended though before anything had happened with it though. I did get a lot of +supports on it though if that counts for anything.

Are you over the age of 15?:Yes, I am 24 years old.

Are you familiar with the MOTD?: Very much so. I know just about all the rules off of memory alone. When there are things I am unsure about though I always have it open on one of my monitors.

What would you do if you saw a lone Security or Researcher on the surface?: I guess it depends on what it is they are doing on the surface and if anything is happening on surface like an event since sometimes people join late and will often walk to the events if someone is not able to teleport them to it. If there is no event though, as long as they are in the Foundation part of things I think they are fine. If they leave the foundation part of things as long as they have permission to do so I would leave them alone. If they did not I would probably ask them why they were there and if they needed any help with anything.

Explain what you would do in the event of each SCP killing a player:

035: 035 is allowed to kill people just as long as it is done with a host. I don't think it is possible to do so but still, no 035 masks running around with guns and no hosts. If that ever did happen I would talk to them and ask them to not do that.

049: 049 is also allowed to kill people but only in a specific way. He is allowed to cure people with the pestilence, anyone who glows green, with his tools which does kill them but not in the way like guns would. As long as he is following the rules to do such as using /me's and making sure to roll it is okay. If they weren't doing that and were just going around turning everyone into zombies or using guns or anything like that then I would talk to them and ask them if they would stop and then I would help them learn if they wanted to.

106: 106 is able to kill any humans it sees and must do so. As long as he is not running around with guns and explosives, there would be no reason to stop him as long as he is following the rules. If he isn't then again I would talk to them and help where I could.

131: 131 should not be killing anyone. I do not think it is capable of doing so in any way but if it was I could have to have a talk with them and help them if they needed and maybe recommend SCPs that can murder people.

173: 173 can murder anyone with a neck, including SCPs. So as long as it is doing that and not breaching D-Block or murdering things without neck then it is fine. If they are breaking the rules, just like with anyone, I would talk to them and help them with anything they might need.

294: I do not think 294 is capable of killing people on it's own. If a player was using 294 to kill people though I guess it depends on the situation. A researcher using it to murder someone for RP reasons is one things, but a random D-Class using it to murder people is another if they do not have the knowledge of such things ICly. If 294 is being abused I would talk to the person who is doing so and ask them to not do such a thing.

343: 343 is not an angry or vengeful god and should never hurt any living things. So if I see a player using 343 to commit acts of murder I would have to have a talk with them and maybe convince them to play an SCP with can murder things.

999: 999 is also one of the SCPs that cannot and also should not be murdering people. So if one is, then I would have to talk with them.

1036: On their own, I do not think any of the 1036s can kill people, but with a host it depends. With -1 their goal is to escape to Africa at all costs so if they need to make their host murder people to do so then that is fine. -5 is allowed to make their host kill people. -6 likes to make others upset for entertainment so that one depends I think, -7 is kind and only wants to help. As long as the ones that can kill are following the rules then nothing needs to be done.

1048: 1048 can murder people as long as they are by themselves and the murder weapon is not larger than a knife. If they are following the rules then nothing needs to be done. As funny as it would be to see the small bear running around with an assault rifle, it is not allowed.

1048-A: This one will only attack when it feels threatened or is attacked. So if they follow the rules then there are no problems.

1370: 1370 can and must attack anything it believes to be sentient. Murder included. It can use it's fists through /mes or weapons like knives and pencils as well. As long as it is not killing people with big guns and they are following the rules, everything is fine.

2006: 2006 will only hurt people if the form it takes would do so but 2006 would never purposefully kill someone. So someone saying they are afraid of the sun and 2006 turning into it and accidentally murdering everything around it is one thing but it purposefully turning into 106 and going on a rampage is another. So as long as no rules are broken, there is no reason to get involved.

2292: 2292 would only kill people when enraged or mini-enraged. So it cannot just decide to kill people for no reason. So like with any other SCP, as long as it follows the rules then everything is fine.

2300: They themselves cannot murder people and should not be doing so with things like guns or similar items. They can murder people with their art if they are enraged, but only if they are enrage. So they cannot make a death laser that fires every second at people nearby without a reason to do so. Nothing would need to be done as long as they follow the rules.

2337: 2337 can kill people but only when it Super Cacks which can only be done when it is attacked. So as long as they are not just doing it for not reason or as long as they are not using weapons to do so they are fine.

Explain how to use a /me and the roll system: A /me is like a way to do an action that cannot be done in the game. MedRP for example, you cannot actually remove bullets from wounds in the game but you can do a /me to kind of roleplay that you are. Rolling is a way to decide if something that needs a roll succeeds or not. So like if two people are fighting using /me they both roll using /roll. The person with the higher number after roll bonuses wins and the action they did in their /me happens. You cannot just say /me kills or something like that because that is Powergaming. You need to actually play through things as if you were doing them in real life.

Explain NLR: It is the New Life Rule. If you die, you need to wait a little bit before you can leave the spawn. The time you need to wait changes depending on how you die. For example if you die during a raid you need to wait a lot longer than if you just died normally. Also you forget everything that happened before you die. So if you learned as a D-Class how to use 294 and died, then you cannot just break out again to go use 294 with the information you learned in your last life.

Explain RDM: Random Death Match. It is when someone murders another player for no reason whatsoever. So an example would be if I had just joined the game and switched to security and started shooting everyone in sight without an IC reason to do so.

Explain Metagame: Metagame is using information you did not get ICly. So if someone says that 049 is breached in /ooc but nobody else knows it ICly you cannot just say that 049 is breached over radio.

Do you have a microphone?: Yes and I am more than confident and happy to use it.

Are you aware the training/interview time is 7:30 P.M. (EST): Yes.

If so, will you be able to make it? (If no, your application will be postponed.): Yup! I am free all the time so I should be there with no problems.

Are you interested in potentially becoming SCP: War on Terror staff?: If it is okay, yes.

+Support

Very active player who has been around this SCP community for a very long time, through Concordia, Parallax, and now Cold War. I am sure she has gained a plethora of knowledge and experience over the years. I can also attest to their dedication and expertise following the medical branch, having seen Avora for years as a medical player, going up the ranks to Medical LT in prior servers. I believe she is a good candidate for staff in this community.

Pending. We want to watch how you're performing in-game as a player a bit more, the staff team will come back to this application in about a week or two.
